How do I know if my piece is worth upholstering?
A piece is worth upholstering if it has a good frame; kiln-dried hardwood with corner blocks is a good indicator. Older pieces (typically 15 years old or older) tend to be of better quality. Sentimental pieces, such as a grandparent's favorite chair, are great candidates for upholstery. Custom built spaces are also perfect projects for us to help you with because we will have cushions patterned to fit perfectly in the space.
How do I get a quote?
We ask for you to email a photo of the piece of furniture to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will get back to you within a week with a quote of the labor cost and yardage needed.
If I like the estimate provided, how do I get into the schedule?
To secure a spot in the schedule, you'll need to select a fabric from our showroom and put down a deposit covering its cost.
Do you store my furniture while I wait for my spot in your schedule?
Because our workroom is limited on space, we cannot store furniture before its ready to start each project.
What is the typical turnaround once you receive my furniture?
Our turnaround time typically runs between 1 - 4 weeks depending on the project.
Will you come to my home for an estimate?
We prefer to handle the initial estimate stages of a project through email so that we don't leave our shop unstaffed during normal business hours.
How long is your backlog of work?
At any point in the year, we typically hold a 3 month backlog of work in our schedule.
Do you make slipcovers?
No, we do not make slipcovers. We can refer you to a local slipcover specialist for any existing piece. In our custom furniture line, we can have a slipcover made for any piece of furniture.
